The White Belt Tournament preview
On July 17th, There will be two semi-final matches to determine who will face off each other for the vacant Wonder of Stardom title aka The White Belt. The buildup to this is very simple. All females have a legit case to be the Wonder of Stardom champion. July 12th, Giulia after her victory in a 6 women tag, made the world know that she will soon be the White Belt champion and no one is going to stop her. She made a challenge to her new rival Tam Nakano for the vacant Wonder of Stardom title. Nakano accepted for several reasons. To complete her promise to Arisa to win the White Belt and of course get revenge on Guilia putting a bruise on up her ‘cutest face in the world’.
Natsuko Tora came out very upset and reminded everyone that she was the original #1 contender for the White Belt title against Arisa Hoshiki at No People’s Gate. Arisa being injured Tora never got her title shot she deserved. Tora called out the company and demanded to be included in the matchmaking it a 3 way. Giulia who is very confident accepted Tora requested to make it a 3 way. It’s gets better. Konami then comes out and says the she wants in and it should be a tournament for the White Belt. I agree and people in the crowd agreed. So on July 17th, there will be two matches, Giulia vs Konami and Tam Nakano vs Natsuko Tora. The winners of both matches will face other for the Vacant White Belt title on July 26th.
The beauty of this tournament for me is that i can’t decide who is going to win this tournament. This is a pretty evenly matched tournament. All four females can win this and there wouldn’t be a big problem with it. None of these ladies have held a singles title in Stardom. All have been either Artist or Goddess champions. The winner of this tournament will be a first time White Belt champion. I will give you all my opinions and thoughts on why each female deserves the White Belt.

Tam Nakano – (Accomplishments 3x Artist of Stardom Champion, 2019 Goddesses of Stardom Tag League, 2018 Dream Come True tournament) Tam Nakano is 0-2 career in White Belt matches losing to Momo Watanabe and Arisa Hoshiki. To me she is the most deserving on it. The best story of the four to me. The story about Tam Nakano and The White Belt is one of the best in Stardom.
She has been gunning for the White Belt for a while. Last year she can so close in a classic match for the White Belt losing to her rival/tag team partner Arisa Hoshiki. If you haven’t seen it, then it definitely worth a watch. When Arisa had to retire and give up the White Belt. Tam Nakano promised Arisa she would win the White Belt. Winning this title would mean everything to her. I believe Tam wants the White Belt more than anyone. The majority of Stardom fans would probably want Tam to win the tournament just because of the chase to win the White Belt. I believe Tam has a great chance to win the White Belt. Her drive, passion, and determination to win the White Belt will help her try to win her first singles title.

Giulia – (Accomplishments 2019 Cinderella tournament, Current Artist of Stardom Champion) Guilia has never fought for the White Belt. To me, she is the favorite to win the White Belt. Since debuting in Stardom last fall she has been nearing unstoppable. She hasn’t lost a singles match yet and just a few days ago finally suffered her first pinfall by Saki Kashima. Giulia is becoming a megastar in Stardom and she in her short time has already accomplished a lot. She is a Artist of Stardom champion along with Maika and Suyri and has also won this year’s Cinderella tournament.
She was supposed to face Arisa Hoshiki on a later date after winning the Cinderella but due to Arisa injury, it didn’t happen. I think Giulia has the most momentum out of the four contenders and has full confidence going into this tournament. Everything she has wanted in Stardom so far she has gotten and she wants to continue that and win the White Belt. Guilia to me has an excellent and best chance to win the tournament.

Konami – (Accomplishments 3x Artist of Stardom and 1x Goddess of Stardom champion) Konami is 0-2 in White Belt matches losing to Kairi Hojo and Arisa Hoshiki. To me is the best choice to win the White Belt. While Konami story as you can say is probably not as exciting as the other competitors but Konami winning the White Belt would mean we get to see some great matches. Just imagine Konami against Utami, Syuri, Momo, Jamie for the White Belt. We could get some great matches with Konami holding the White Belt. No disrespect to the other three contenders.
Konami is just so very skilled. When it comes to pure skill, only a few can measure up to Konami on a pure wrestling level. Konami is also big-time in tournaments too last year being a finalist in both the 2019 Cinderella and 5*Grand Prix. Konami really wants to break thru in this tournament and become a White Belt champion. A scenario that a lot of fans want to see is the top two members of TCS hold the top two belts. Konami with the White Belt and Jungle Kyona with the Red Belt. Konami has a good chance to win the tournament but her biggest challenge is the semi-finals match against Giulia.

Natsuko Tora (Accomplishments 1x Artist of Stardom, 1x Goddess of Stardom champion) – Natsuko Tora is 0-1 in White Belt matches losing to Momo Watanabe. To me, she needs to win the White Belt the most. She is the least talked about in the four in this tournament and some including me have forgotten that Tora was the original contender for the White Belt. When Kagestu retired she gave the Oedo Tai reigns to Tora and told her to continue the success of Oedo Tai. Winning the White Belt would definitely continue that. Tora since becoming lead has done great. She has won matches, stepped up her evilness to a higher level. Tora was a finalist in this year’s Cinderella tournament before losing to Giulia.
I believe Tora winning the White Belt title would put the ultimate stamp on her being a top-level main event player in Stardom and would show that the world that she can be a great leader in Oedo Tai too. You are only as good as your leader and you need titles to show that you can be a great leader which is why out of all four of the contenders for the White Belt, Natsuko Tora needs it the most. Natsuko Tora is the least likely for me to win the tournament even though she needs it the most.
Now to the hard part, my prediction for the White Belt tournament. I believe all four of them would make great a White Belt champion there can only be one winner. My pick to become the next White Belt is Guilia. It’s her time and she isn’t letting anyone get in her way. The stock of Giulia will continue to raise to greater heights.
My Predictions
July 17th Semi-Finals – Giulia defeats Konami and Tam Nakano defeats Natsuko Tora
July 26th Finals – Giulia defeats Tam Nakano
